Session dates and themes (booking taken in six week (half termly) blocks)

Summer Term 2 - Magical Summer and Picnics!

Week 1 – 4th June Fairy doors and elf houses

Week 2 - 11th June Magic wands, journey sticks and potions

Week 3 - 18th June Miniature gardens

Week 4 – 25th June Minibeast hotels and hunts

Week 5 – 2nd July Butterfly symmetrical painting and flag printing

Week 6 – 9th July Summer picnic party

For 18mnths to 5 year olds

An adult must attend with their child

Includes fruit/biscuit snack, a campfire snack and hot chocolate/squash for the children

Includes a hot drink and snack for the parent/carer

Cost £48 for the half term (Summer2) One sibling can attend with a paying child for free

What happens during a session?

Each session will begin around the log circle. Then there will be time for themed activities and free play, followed by campfire snack time and games and more time to play. We will finish up back at the log circle for reflection time.

Each half term will have a different theme, offering different activities each week. In addition, the mud kitchen, fairy trees, den building, hammocks, tool area, minibeast hotel, obstacle course and whole woodland site can be explored each week. The sessions are designed to be child-led.

If appropriate, some children may experience using the Forest School tools, such as the saws and drills during the latter sessions.

WHAT TO WEAR

· Long trousers

· Long sleeved t-shirts/jumpers

· Sun hat/cream or warm hats/gloves/scarves (depending on weather)

· Stout shoes/trainers/wellies

· Waterproofs (top and bottoms)

· A pair of gardening/work gloves are recommended

· Insect repellent – if desired
